"PAIEA X KU" 6 PANEL SNAPBACK

"PAIEA X KU" 6 PANEL SNAPBACK

$65.00

A custom cut & sew, 6-panel, standard size (7&5/8” with all snaps closed) snapback with a square brim and satin interior.

Template, graphics, artwork and design created by Kava Roots artists Stephen Koa Kakaio.

  • Under the brim has a young Paiea holding Kukailimoku after the acquisition of the war god. The interior bucket consists of an image of the famous Iʻiwi bird on the Ohia Lehua tree. Both the brim and interior material is made of satin.

  • Interior stripping bears the famous French phrase from 1422 “Long live the king” with he crossed Kahili.

  • The exterior has the same embroidery placement as the past Na Aliʻi hats; on the front center is the Aliʻi portrait graphic in 3D and flat embroidery to make the mahiole (helmet) stand out. The left panel bears the Kava Roots “K” logo and this hat will be the last to bear that insignia since the redesign of the brand logo into the crab claw sail. The right panel has the crossed kahili. The back right panel has the Na Aliʻi name. All exterior embroidery is made with a metallic khaki thread.

  • Kava Roots folded woven label on the snap.

  • Custom woven labels on the interior headband with the size, Na Aliʻi name and Hawaiian flag.

Each hat will arrive in a custom black and gold satin drawstring bag and comes with a signed 5”x7” print of the brim artwork.
